Am I too old to start a new career?

I am 31 years old and getting married in 2.5 weeks. I have a B.S. degree in Fashion Design and since college I have worked as an Administrative istant for about 2 years and the rest of the time I worked as a Recruiter. I just finished my last recruiting job about 6 months ago. I just went back to school to become a nurse because I know that this job is in high demand and demands a good salary. That is the only reason. Now, I am reconsidering this path. I have always really liked the beauty industry. I have worked the past year as a makeup artist on a freelance basis. I love it. I am in serious thought that I want to quit nursing school and go and get a license as an Estitician. I know I would be happy and like working in the beauty industry. I am not sure if I would really like nursing. What should I do? Does it seem stupid to quit school since I told everyone that I want to be a nurse? I feel embarred. Is this something I should be embarred about or looked down upon?
