Are there any dangers with getting a vasectomy?
Hey, I think I'm the "conservative Christian" that someone here talked about. But I'm not seeking any atonement...I have my Lord and Savior and because I know Him, I need nothing else. I do warn lots of men here about vasectomies simply because my husband had one and suffered much because of it. You can research all the sources I list below and decide if they are credible or not; I offer many different sources. Do note that they are from wikipedia, a medical publication, a medical journal, more wikipedia, and a couple of informative sites established by men who have suffered with PVPS. You are a mature man who has the right to know what could happen. There are some dangers to vasectomy, doesn't happen to everyone and may not happen right away. Obvious ones that happen right away are hematoma, infection, adverse reaction to medication, etc. Later you could have repeated infections, congestive epididimytis, chronic pain, kidney stones, sperm granulomas, and atrophy of the testicles. There are links to auto-immune diseases, heart disease, dementia, and possible cancers. What do they do in a vasectomy? Cut the vas defernes, sometimes clip it shut with clamps, most of the time they remove a small section of each tube and thus interrupt the pathway that sperm take from the testicles to the . You still have sperm, but they are in your testes; you will shoot blanks but still fluid, just void of sperm. Most men still enjoy , although the ones who have problems don't because it results in pain. Yes, most times, as long as you don't have pain, you can get a *****. The sperm will be absorbed with time mostly, although some still will build up, and over time, you may have a "blow-out" and resulting sperm granuloma (40%). It happens all the time to men with vasectomies and that is why vasectomies are more difficult to reverse the longer the patient has had them. After all, most men produce 55,000 sperm per minute, millions per day. Research it. Read the sources below. And then you decide whether it's worth the risk.
